About Us
SFUSD parents working to improve enrollment through community engagement and data-driven advocacy.
Our Mission
We are a nonprofit dedicated to improving community engagement with public schooling. We believe that engagement with public schools creates shared community spaces, fosters civic participation, expands available resources, and advances equity through resource distribution.
Every kid deserves equitable access to a high-quality public school. We oppose opportunity hoarding and aim to counter misconceptions about public school districts through evidence-based arguments.
Our grassroots, parent-centered outreach uses honest arguments and narratives from ongoing data analysis. We acknowledge that public school enrollment depends on multiple societal factors and we collaborate with local partners to address them.
What We Do
Ambassador Program
We train community volunteers to distribute pro-public school messaging with data-backed talking points at preschools, community centers, and parent groups.
Communications
We publish op-eds, engage on social media, and provide free media services to schools to help boost enrollment and correct misinformation.
Data & Analysis
We aggregate information sources to produce materials and provide empirical analyses demonstrating the value of public school education.
